Название сайта в сети может отличаться от названия сайта, проще говоря ничто не мешает вам сайт с доменным именем «crocodile.gen» назвать «Чебурашка», но стремятся обычно иметь некоторое сходство доменного имени и названия сайта, так как сходство доменного имени с названием или тематикой лучше запоминается.
Уровень имени домена (есть такое понятие) определяется наличием разделяющих точек в названии, так «crocodile.gen» — сайт «crocodile» в доменной зоне «gen» является доменным именем 2-го уровня, сайт «green.crocodile.gen» будет 3-го уровня и существовать вне «crocodile.gen» не может (не является самостоятельным) , можно подобрать схожее название типа «green.crocodile.ru» и перенести сайт туда, но это уже другое имя, и ссылки от «green.crocodile.gen» туда не приведут, а значит и в поисковой выдаче останутся там где и были.
Новое доменное имя со временем вносится в базу имён поисковых систем и начинает оставлять там свою историю, обычно история формируется положительная и вес имени растёт, делая привлекательным покупку имени с уже присутствующим весом в поисковых системах, так формируется вторичный рынок доменных имён.
Доменные имена второго уровня подбираются из свободных и регистрируются-покупаются у регистраторов доменных имён (полно как и предлагающих хостинг) на один год, при покупке имени по акции не забудьте посмотреть сколько будет стоить продление права на это имя — цена может серьёзно отличаться от цены начальной покупки.

Для этого, в панели управления, если используется хостинг-провайдер sprinthost , необходимо перейти в раздел Дополнительно на главной странице панели управления и выбрать Установка приложений .
